Rama for automation distributors
The AI system built for configured orders. Rama checks and prices every BOM, so your team has more time to quote configured orders same day
Live on your ERP and supplier data in days. No rip-and-replace.
Sample run on a panel BOM from a machine builder. Rama reads the BOM and the spec sheet together, checks every configured catalogue number against both, and prices what you can actually ship. Illustrative numbers, real logic, run on your own authorisations and supplier data.
Configured quotes stop waiting on one engineer being free.
Wrong voltage, wrong option code, wrong enclosure, caught before the order.
Alternates offered on purpose, not because a lead time forced it.
Twelve characters, six ways to get it wrong
Click through the string. Each segment is a decision that has to agree with a document sitting somewhere else.
The voltage code has to agree with the panel's supply and with the motor on the mechanical schedule. This is where most configured orders go wrong.
A configured order is only correct if the whole string is correct, and the information that proves it sits in three different documents. Rama reads all three.
Segment breakdown shown for illustration. Rama decodes against your own supplier catalogue data, including the option rules that never made it into a public table.
A configured order is only right if every character is right. Nobody's afternoon should go on proving that by hand.
Three ways a configured order goes sideways
Each of these is survivable once. What makes them expensive is that they happen quietly, and always to your best accounts.
One character in the string was wrong, and nobody caught it until the panel shop opened the box. Now it's an RMA, a re-order on a fresh lead time, and a difficult phone call.
Most of the BOM ships next week. Two lines don't, and the integrator finds out at the worst possible moment, from their own customer.
A customer runs a platform that's been end-of-life for years. Whoever maps it and quotes the migration owns that account for the next decade.
The same application engineers, on the work that needs them
Automation quoting is engineering work wrapped in clerical work. Here's what changes when the clerical half comes off their desk.
Built for every seat, from the quote desk out
Open the one that sounds like your week.
You are the reason the quote is right, and also the reason it's slow, because every BOM has to pass your eyes. Rama does the checking pass first and hands you a marked-up version with the questions that actually need engineering judgment.
From the BOM to the commissioned panel
Rama works across the whole order, not just the quote screen.
Rama runs on your ERP, your supplier data, and your authorisations
Distribution ERPs, manufacturer portals and configurators, your own price and option data, and email.
Not on the list? We usually add a new connection in days.

Why I started Rama
I grew up around my dad's factory. I remember people on the phone all day chasing parts, then typing the same numbers into three different places, and nobody thinking that was strange. It was just the job.
Years later I ended up in manufacturing myself, figuring it would all have moved on by now. It hadn't. I watched an engineer spend an afternoon checking a BOM character by character against a spec, because getting it wrong meant a panel arriving with the wrong drive in it.
So that's what we're building. Not a replacement for your engineers, the people who can look at a catalogue number and know it's wrong are the best part of this industry, they just spend half their week proving it one line at a time. We'd rather they got that half back.
If that sounds like your quotations desk, I'd love to hear how you're handling configured orders today.
Based on usage and results
No big upfront license. You pay for the work Rama does, and the price moves with the results it delivers.
Send us a BOM you're quoting this week
We'll check it against the spec on your own supplier data and show you what we found, and how long it took.
