Founders Associate

As a Founders Associate, you'll work on sales, strategy, ops, and product across the org.

San Francisco | Full-time

Rama builds AI infrastructure for electronic component supply chains, a $3T+ industry that keeps every piece of hardware on the planet moving. We work with some of the largest distributors out there and we're just getting started.

We're looking for a Founders Associate to work directly with the CEO across sales, strategy, and operations. This is a front-of-the-house role. You'll spend most of your time talking to customers, running deals, and figuring out how to crack new markets, not sitting behind a screen tweaking decks.

If you want your work to have a tangible impact on the physical world, this is it.

What you'll do
  • Own customer conversations. You'll be on calls with distributors, understanding their problems, running demos, and driving deals from first touch to close.

  • Build and run outbound. Research prospects, craft outreach, and open doors with mid-market and enterprise distributors across the US and Europe.

  • Shape go-to-market strategy. Help figure out which segments to attack, how to position the product, and what the playbook looks like as we scale.

  • Work across the business. This is an early-stage company. You'll touch ops, product, partnerships, and strategy depending on what needs doing that week.

  • Become a domain expert. You'll learn the electronic component distribution industry inside-out: pricing dynamics, supply chain workflows, franchise structures, inventory management. The learning curve is steep and that's the point.

What we're looking for
  • You're a natural communicator. You can hold your own on a call with a VP of Sales at a $500M distributor. You listen well, ask sharp questions, and know how to move a conversation forward.

  • You're commercially minded. You think about markets, incentives, and leverage. You get energy from closing deals and opening new relationships.

  • You're scrappy and self-directed. You don't wait to be told what to do. You see a gap, you fill it.

  • You're curious about the physical world. Supply chains, logistics, manufacturing, hardware. This stuff excites you more than another SaaS dashboard.

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in sales, business development, consulting, banking, or an early-stage startup. Or you're a recent grad who's clearly built and sold things on your own.

Nice to haves
  • Experience in B2B sales or business development, particularly in technical or industrial markets.

  • Familiarity with electronic components, distribution, or supply chain.

  • You've worked at an early-stage startup before and know what the pace feels like.

  • Languages beyond English (German, French, or a Nordic language would be useful given our potential European customer base).

Why Rama

  • Real impact on physical things. When our AI works, a distributor reprices millions of components overnight and a factory gets the right parts before the line stops. You can trace a straight line from what you do to something that exists outside a screen.

  • Early and high-leverage. You'll work directly with the CEO. The decisions you make now will shape the company.

  • Backed by great investors. We recently closed our Seed round with investors who've built and scaled companies in this space.

  • SF-based, global scope. Our market spans the US and Europe. You'll work from SF with regular exposure to international markets.
